Bharuch man drowns in Jharwani falls

Vadodara: A 22-year-old resident of Bharuch drowned in the Jharwani falls behind Sardar Sarovar Dam in Narmada district on Thursday. The incident occurred when the victim, Safaan Simba, accompanied his friends Fadim Bhatti and Faizalkhan Pathan, all residents of Bharuch, to the Statue of Unity. The trio also decided to visit the Jharwani falls nearby.

While having bath under the falls, Safaan suddenly got pulled by the current into deep waters. Those present at the spot searched for his body which could be fished out after two hours. After getting information, cops rushed to the spot and registered a complaint of accidental death. tnn
