Bhiwani headless bodies: Infant was cut into pieces, boiled to remove evidence

CHANDIGARH: To do away with the evidence, 38-year-old scrap dealer not only cut his eight-month-old daughter's body into pieces but also boiled it. He then stuffed the pieces in a drum along with the bodies of his lover and her elder daughter, throwing away their heads separately. The skull of the infant is yet to be recovered.

The details of the triple murder case of Bhiwani, in which the three headless bodies were found stuffed in a plastic drum in December 2017, have started emerging four days after Rajesh was arrested. His two accomplices - his partner Poonam Fauji and servant Makhan Singh - were arrested in January but gruesome details came out only after Rajesh finally gave in after three days of police interrogation.

Police said Rajesh and his two associates first had drinks at his place. "He then first murdered the woman while she was sleeping by slashing her neck. As her elder daughter, who was 10-years-old, tried to run away, he caught hold of her and slashed her neck as well. He then used an electric cutter cut away their heads. He finally he had cut the body of the youngest one into the pieces and boiled the pieces before stuffing them into a drum which was found abandoned on the Kharak village of Bhiwani Rohtak road," police said.

"Autopsy report has confirmed that the body parts were subjected to heat. Rajesh too has confirmed this. Hospital records of the infant showed that he had fathered her. We have recovered two skulls but that of the younger child is yet to be recovered," said Bhiwani SP Ganga Ram Punia.

Police said that Rajesh was a scrap dealer and the woman hailed from Assam. She came in contact with him after she had deserted her husband. Rajesh developed relations with her and the couple then had the daughter.

Apparently, woman wanted Rajesh to adopt her elder daughter. It has also been alleged that she was also blackmailing him for money, threatening reveal their relationship to his family. On December 27, Rajesh, Poonam and Makhan murdered the three and disposed the bodies. Police first arrested Makhan and Poonam on January 26 and 27. The two revealed the role of Rajesh, who was on the run. On Saturday, police had arrested Rajesh from New Delhi.

On Sunday and Monday, cops had carried out the combing the operations where Rajesh had buried the heads. Only two skulls were recovered.
