Bijay Mohanty falls ill, hospitalised: Veteran actor

 

Bhubaneswar: Veteran Odia on-screen character Bijay Mohanty has fallen debilitated and has been admitted to a Hyderabad-based medical clinic for additional treatment.

Odisha Cine Artistes Association’s general secretary, Sritam Das said the on-screen character was remaining with his little girl in Hyderabad.

He had experienced a medical procedure during his stay there. At the point when he was going to be released Tuesday, he whined of chest torment. The specialists determined him to have some cardiovascular issues, moved him to ICU and quickly put him on ventilator. His condition is improving, it’s scholarly.

The entertainer was conceived at Pandiri (Kendrapara locale) in 1950. He was raised in Baripada in Mayurbhanj. After his graduation he joined the National School of Drama in New Delhi. Entertainers like Nasseruddin Shah, Om Puri and Raj Babbar were his cohorts.

In 1971, he made his introduction in Chilika Tire. That year the film won the National Award.
