BJP wants HC in Kurnool

Tirupati: Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata party ( BJP ) on Saturday, demanded that the state government take steps for the establishment of a high court in Kurnool to fulfill the long-pending demand of people of the Rayalaseema region.

During a conference attended by BJP leaders in the Rayalaseema region at Proddatur in Kadapa district on Saturday, state BJP chief Kanna Lakshminarayana said,“We demand that the state government immediately take steps to set up a high court in Kurnool and to complete all pending irrigation projects .”

“The government should also appoint a special board to focus on the overall development of the most backward districts of Rayalaseema,” he added. tnn
