Border Security Force arrests 2 Pakistan nationals off Kutch coast

The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended two Pakistan nationals with a fishing boat off the Kutch coast of Gujarat on Monday. Their boat was spotted, intercepted and seized from the Sir Creek area of Kutch, said officials. A probe has been initiated by the BSF in the vicinity of Sir Creek to find out more details about the Pakistanis and how they ended up on the wrong side of the maritime border line between the two countries and whether or not, the crossing was accidental.

After the arrest, they were brought to shore and handed over to the local police station. Their medical check-up is set to be conducted after which they are to be sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre in Bhuj.

BSF Commandant AK Singh posted at Koteshwar confirmed the arrest.
