Brief exchange of fire in Kulgam: Police

Security forces and the terrorists exchanged brief gunfire at a village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

A police spokesman said that a brief exchange of fire took place in Kulgam. “Details will follow,” he said on Twitter.

Earlier, an official said the security forces launched a search operation in Tangibal village following inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Internet services were blocked in the district soon after the firing exchange took place.
