Businessman shot at near Patna Junction

PATNA: One Gokul Kumar (35), a businessman of Bakarganj in the state capital, was seriously injured when a gang of armed robbers opened fire and attempted to snatch his bag containing Rs 3 lakh near Patna Junction under the Kotwali police station area on Saturday evening. The SHO of Kotwali police station , Ramshankar Singh, said the assailants attacked Gokul around 8pm when he was on way to Patna Junction from Bakarganj to board a train for Kolkata.

The injured was rushed to the Patna Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The criminals opened fire in the air to terrorize the passers-by.

No arrests have been made so far in this connection.
