Calcutta HC video hearings to continue

KOLKATA: Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court T B Radhakrishnan on Thursday directed that normal functioning of the court will remain suspended till June 8 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Normal functioning of the circuit benches at Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jalpaiguri and work at the subordinate courts in the state will also remain suspended till then.

For over a month now, urgent high court hearings are being conducted through video-conferencing. On June 2 and 5, four benches of the high court will hear urgent matters.
