Chandigarh: Boxing camp from today

CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Amateur Boxing Association has announced to conduct a 15-day coaching camp from Thursday for the 21 selected women boxers at the Boxing Coaching Center, Sector 56, Chandigarh. The boxers were selected on the basis of their performance in the 19th Chandigarh State Senior Women Boxing Championship held in September.

After the final selection, 10 boxers will represent Chandigarh at the upcoming 4th senior (Elite) Women's National Boxing Championship to be held from December 2 to 8 in Kerala.

For the 48 kilogram category, the selectors have reposed faith on Rituz and Jyoti Kumari, in the 51kg Monika and Arti Mehra were named for the camp.
