The pipeline, submersible pump sets used for illegal salt mining in the world-famous Sambhar Lake will now be confiscated. Considering the seriousness of the Rajasthan government regarding the conservation of the Sambhar salt lake, now Chief Secretary Rajiv Swaroop directed to take action in coordination with the Electricity and Police Department in the lake.

Rajiv Swaroop chaired the Second Standing Committee on Sambhar Lake held at the Government Secretariat and expressed concern over illegal salt mining and other illegal activities around Sambhar Lake.

During this, the Chief Secretary instructed the District Collector of Nagaur and Ajmer to remove the illegal electrical connections with immediate effect. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary also reviewed the current status of Sambhar Lake by establishing the facility through video conferences from Ajmer and Nagaur District Collector. During this, Rajiv Swaroop asked to prepare a detailed map of the lake, expressing concern over the encroachment in the area of ​​Sambhar Lake.
