City school's teacher nominated to global, national advisories on inclusive education

AMRITSAR: Global Inclusive Education Network ( GIEN ) has nominated Rajiv Kumar Sharma and Prerna Khanna , principal and special educator at Spring Dale Senior School as members of the International Advisory Council (IAC) and member, School Inclusive Education Development (SIED) team respectively .

Talking about his role as a nominee to the IAC, Sharma , in an interaction with media here on Monday informed that the school would do at the global level, what it has been doing at the regional and national levels – work for the promotion of inclusive education. “The institution has already made a name for itself in the field of inclusive education. Now we shall play a role in promoting the same globally,” he maintained adding that Prerna would contribute to this initiative at the national-level.

Regarding the role of SIED to which Prerna had been nominated, he said, “The practitioners are encouraged by their IEC to implement and innovate practices in curriculum and assessment for all students. They will also document inclusive education practices based on quality indicators for inclusive education.” Eom
