Civic body notice to firm over slow construction

Jaipur development authority ( JDA ) issued a notice to M/S Simplex Infrastructures Ltd for the slow paced construction of the elevated road in Sodala on Thursday. The notice was issued on the instructions of UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal. He said action will be taken against the firm if the work does not get completed as per the contract.

It could also be blacklisted. Construction of Sodala’s elevated road was delayed by over a year. It was scheduled to get completed by January 2019 but January 2020 is the new deadline. Minister has asked the firm to submit the action plan to expedite the project as early as possible. The Rs 250-crore project for 2.8km will be available as an additional corridor for East-West direction, in which there are few roads. The corridor is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the area. The loan of Rs 187 crore has been sanctioned for the project from National Capital Region Planning Board.
