Cobra, 13 hatchlings rescued from house in Odisha's Jajpur

Jajpur: Forest Department officials and Snake Helpline members today rescued a cobra and its 13 hatchlings from a house at Manpur under Danagadi block of Odisha’s Jajpur district.

According to reports, family members of one Siba Prasad Jena of the village initially spotted a cobra entering their house. On being informed, Forest Department officials and Snake Helpline members reached the spot and rescued the reptiles.

While the hatchlings were under an asbestos sheet, the mother cobra was in a cow shed. The snakes were later released into a nearby forest.
