Collector calls for better civic amenities in Dhamtari

RAIPUR: Collector of Dhamtari district Rajat Bansal inspected various ongoing construction works undertaken by the municipal corporation on Tuesday morning.

Bansal instructed the officials concerned to prepare a proposal for providing facilities at par with those available in big cities. This included, establishing a multi-level parking zone in Kachahri Chowk and renovation and beautification of Khodia Lake.

Bansal inspected a garden near Makai Lake, a shopping complex under construction in Balak Chowk and an auditorium and Kisaan Bazaar. During the visit, Bansal directed the officials to ensure the supply of pure drinking water in the garden for the visitors, especially during summer. He instructed municipal commissioner A K Halder to prepare an estimate for converting the trail besides the entrance of the park into a paved road.

While expressing dissatisfaction over incomplete construction of a shopping mall, the collector called for a speedy resolution of the issue. After inspecting the auditorium drawing, design and layout, Bansal directed the officials to make a separate provision for library and parking.
