Collegians get tips on higher studies

PATNA: The department of business economics organized an interactive session on ‘Future Prospects of Business Economics and Preparations for Higher Studies’ at St Xavier’s College of Management and Technology on Thursday.

College alumnus Rishabh Kumar, who is a student of Delhi School of Economics now, was the speaker of the event.

He said, “The department’s syllabi can help you crack the entrance examinations of some prominent institutions across the country.”

The session was attended by college principal Father T Nishaant SJ, Rector Father Joseph Thadavanal SJ, vice principal Father Martin Poras SJ, dean (academics) Kalpana Kumari, professors and students of the department.

Kendriya Vidyalaya: Union human resource development (HRD) minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will inaugurate 15 newly constructed buildings and lay the foundation for six Kendriya Vidyalayas in 13 different states, including Bihar, through videoconferencing from New Delhi on Friday. As many as 22,000 students will be benefited from the project.

Officials claimed that this was for the first time that so many new buildings, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 398 crore, would be inaugurated by the Union HRD minister. A Kendriya Vidyalaya building will be opened in Araria district as well.
