Lok Sabha Election 2019: Congress names 35 more candidates, Raj Babbar's seat changed to Fatehpur Sikri

In another list released by the Congress party ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, 35 candidates has been named by the party to contest the upcoming polls slated to take place between April-May 2019.

UP Congress chief Raj Babbar, who was earlier allotted the Moradabad seat to contest the elections, has been shifted to Fatehpur Sikri, the grand old party has said in a statement.

The Congress party has now nominated poet Imran Pratapgarhiya from the Moradabad constituency. Former Union Minister Renuka Chowdhury has been fielded from Khammam in Telangana.

And, Digvijay Singh to be Congress' Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Congress has further fielded Vikramaditya Singh, the son of former Union Minister Karan Singh, from Udhampur constituency in Jammu and Kashmir. The party also released a list of 54 candidates for Odisha Assembly election.

The elections is scheduled to begin from April 11 and the results will be announced on May 23. Congress is hoping to restructure its hold at the Centre after a poll debacle in 2014, when it was decimated by the BJP.
