Congress wins big in Sirohi, Phalodi

Jodhpur: The results in Sirohi and Phalodi in Jodhpur have brought cheers to Congress. Out of 35 seats in Sirohi, Congress wrested 22 seats, while BJP won nine seats. Four seats have gone to Independents. Sirohi’s Mount Abu municipality too has been won by the Congress where the party claimed 18 out of 25 seats. Similarly, out of 40 seats in Phalodi—a Jodhpur town that has been demanding status of a district since long—29 seats have gone to Congress while the BJP had to remain content with a meagre eight seats.

Here three seats have been wrested by Independents.
