Corona virus: In West Bengal, cases of infection increased to 70,188, death toll was 1,581

 In West Bengal, the total number of people found infected has increased to 70,188 with 2,496 new cases reported on a day of Kovid-19 on Friday.  Apart from this, after the death of 46 more people, the number of people who died of infection in the state has increased to 1,581.

 According to a bulletin issued by the Department of Health, a total of 70,188 people have been confirmed infected so far after 2,496 new cases were reported in the state. 

Currently, 20,233 people are undergoing treatment in the state.  The rate of infection recovery in the state is 68.92 percent.  The department said that 21 people died in Kolkata in a day due to infection. 

 Apart from this, 13 people died in North 24 Parganas on Friday, three in South 24 Parganas, two each in Howrah, Hooghly and Murshidabad and one each in Nadia, Malda and Alipurduar districts.
