Couple killed in car-bike collision
Ludhiana: A man and his wife died on the spot after their motorcycle was hit by a car near Naam Charcha Ghar on Raikot-Bathinda road on Thursday.
The couple — Mohinder Singh of Dhurkot in Moga (who worked in Dubai and had come back recently) and his wife Kamaljit Kaur — had gone to his in-law’s place at Gangooran village in Mehal Kalan on a motorcycle.
When they were returning, a Swift car, driven by Sukhbir Singh of Kirpal Singh Waala in Barnala, hit their bike while overtaking another vehicle.
Police said the couple was in their thirties.
Amarjeet Singh, SHO, City Raikot police station, said the accused has been booked for causing death due to negligence.
