CP Thakur, speaking on Chhapra Mob Lynching, said, "People should not violate law'

Patna: The mob lynching case in Bihar is creating headlines.  In Chapra district, three alleged thieves were beaten to death by mobs during cattle theft. Now, politics has also intensified in this case. On the other hand, BJP leader CP Thakur has also reacted to the Chapra Mob Lynching case saying it is grossly wrong.

People should not have killed them. The thieves should have beaten a little bit and handed it over to the police.

BJP leader CP Thakur has said that it is the result of the out of extension. He said the thief should not have been killed after he was caught. Thieves should have been beaten up a little bit by the police for stealing the animal. But the people beat the thieves more. It has not been corrected. People should not have taken the law into their hands. He should have been handed over to the police.

The burglars, who came to the Nand lal tola area of Baniyapur police station area of Chapra, were nabbed by the locals. The mob then beat and killed the three thieves. Two thieves were reportedly killed on the spot. The third died during treatment. The Baniyapur Police, Jalalpur police station, Isuapur police station, Sadar DSP, who reached the spot after the incident was reported, had rushed to the spot and started an investigation into the case.
