Cyclone Amphan [LIVE]: Extremely severe cyclonic storm Amphan to make landfall today

Kolkata/Bhubaneswar: The extremely severe cyclonic storm ‘AMPHAN’ is expecetd tkame landfall on May 20, Wednesday and will cross West Bengal and Bangladesh coasts between Digha (West Bengal) and Hatiya Islands (Bangladesh) close to Sundarbans during afternoon to evening of May 20 with maximum sustained wind speed of 155-165 kmph gusting to 185 kmph.

6:20 am: Rainfall, strong winds Odisha's Bhadrak

Ahead of cyclone Amphan landfall, Odisha'a Bhadra region experienced heavy rainfall and strong winds today. Odisha government headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has made elaborate arrangements to evacuate people from the vulnerable areas. The administration with the help of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has almost completed the evacuation process and over people to shelter homes.
