Dais with BJP leaders collapses in Sagar
Bhopal: At least half a dozen people, including former home minister and a BJP MP were injured, after a dais carrying almost 75 people collapsed in Khurai tehsil of Sagar district on Tuesday afternoon. A woman standing near the dais also sustained injuries.
The incident took place when former home minister and BJP MLA Bhupendra Singh was addressing the people.
BJP MLA from Bina Mahesh Rai and MP from Sagar Rajbahadur Singh were also present.
Both Singh and Raj Bahadur received bruises. Besides local BJP leaders and an unidentified woman also sustained injuries, police said.
The BJP leaders had assembled to hold demonstration against the Congress government to highlight the issues of alleged apathy against flood victims and fuel price hike.
