DDC Kulgam chairs DLRC meet

District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Ajaz Bhat today chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) to review the performance of Banks and line department under ACP for the financial year of 2019-20. The meeting was attended by ACR, Kulgam CPO, Lead District Manager, Cluster Head JK Bank and officers from line department.Progress and achievements made by Banks in the implementation of various government sponsored schemes like Kisan Credit Card, NRLM, Housing for All, Handloom Weavers MUDRA, SHGs, JLGs, Artisans Credit Card and Standup India were discussed in detail.

Besides sponsored schemes, loans provided by Banks under direct lending mode were reviewed.Giving details about the performance of banks, it was given out that the deposits have decreased from Rs 1588.11 crore to 1547.29 crore depicting 2.57% decrease over March 31th 2019. It was also informed that advances have grown from Rs 1180.24 crore to Rs 1256.30 as on 31-03-2019 to 1256.30 crore and witnessing 6.44% growth over March 31th    2019 and the CD ratio of the district has reached 81.19% which is above the National bench mark of 60%.DDC directed the concerned to cover the beneficiaries under various social security schemes which include PMSDY, PMJJBY, APY and other schemes.
He also impressed upon the concerned officers of banks and line department to work in coordination and added zeal to achieve much better results in future course of time.Banks and other departments were also directed to conduct awareness camps in various parts of the district to generate awareness among people so they can avail the benefit of the schemes. DDC also stressed upon the heads of the departments and Banks to focus on setting up income generating units by assisting the unemployed youth through various state and central sponsored schemes.
