DDC Kulgam visits District Hospital, inspect patient care, reviews developmental works

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kulgam Showkat Ajaz Bhat, today visited District Hospital (DH) Kulgam to inspect patient care and the medical services being provided, there.During his visit DDC interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the facility being provided to them in the hospital.

He also inspected various wards of the hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients.He went around various wards and sections of the hospital which includes emergency ward, medical ward, X-ray section, dental section, IPD ward and other wards and sections of the hospital where Medical Superintendent apprised him about stock of medicines available and other available facilities being provided to the patients.DDC exhorted upon the concerned to ensure that roster is strictly followed and patients be served with utmost dedication and sincerity at the institution.DDC also reviewed the status of various ongoing developmental projects of hospital.On the occasion, Executive Engineer of JKPCC informed the DDC that Block A of IPD block has been completed in all aspects and work on B block has been initiated.
It was given out that the IPD Block of district hospital is been constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore. He was also informed that work on 50 bedded MCH building stands completed and will be commissioned soon.DDC exhorted upon the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work of projects and complete them within given timeline so the projects can be utilised to augment the health care in the district. The others who were present on the occasion are, ADC kulgam, Medical Superintendent, Exen JKPCC, and other officers of health department.
