DDC Kupwara reviews developmental projects

District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg today conducted an extensive tour of various areas of Kupwara town to take stock of various ongoing developmental works executed by Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC).During his visit, DDC inspected progress of work on Academic Block and Administrative Block of Women College at Salkoot, constructed at an estimated cost of 16 crores.

It was given out that 90% work has been completed on the building and remaining work is in progress. The DDC directed officers to gear up the pace of work by the end of current academic session. DDC also directed the concerned to visit the spot with revenue officials for the demarcation of land so that the work on fencing and levelling of play ground will be started at an earliest.DDC also visited Sahipora Kupwara and inspected the pace of work on 24-meter long steel bridge.
He was informed that the estimated cost of the work is 1.41 crores and will connect the Sahipora to main town Kupwara. He was also informed that the material for remaining work has been purchased and the work will be completed within a stipulated time frame.DDC also inspected the ongoing work on Polytechnic College Karihama Kupwara, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 13 crore. Executive Engineer JKPCC informed that the plinth area of building is 42000 Sq feet and informed that the work will be completed before upcoming winter.
DDC directed the concerned to put in coordinated efforts for meeting the deadline fixed for the completion of the project.During the tour, several public deputations including met DDC and apprised hi about various issues and demands confronting them. The youth of Karihama area demanded for sports kits for which DDC assured them for its sanction.
