DDC Ramban listens to locals issues at Sanasar
District Development Commissioner, (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan along with a team of officers today visited Sanasar and listened to the locals issues and grievances. He also discussed the modalities for promoting and taping tourism potential in the area.The DDC was accompanied by CEO, Patnitop Development Authority (PDA), Pran Singh, ACR, Harbans Lal, ACD, Zaffar Ahmad, CEO, AH Fani, DFO, AD Tourism, Xens of PWD and PMGSY, Tehsildar and other officers.A public grievances redress camp was also held under the Public Outreach campaign to assess and redress the issuesof locals.The DDC listened to the grievances of the Sarpanchs, Panchs and other villagers.After detailed deliberation on the issues highlighted by the locals and PRIs, the DDC passed necessary direction to concerned officers.Responding to the demands, the PDD was asked to meet the requirement for improving power supply scenario in the area.
The major demands projected by the locals included renovation of Nathatop-Sanasar road, augmentation of water and power supply, opening of JNV School, adequate staff in schools, opening of Health centre and veterinary dispensary, availability and distribution of ration especially during winters, regular bus service between Batote and Sanasar, and identification of land for cattle grazing.The DDC resolved several issues on the spot and assured of all possible assistance for the promotion of tourism in Batote tehsil.Meanwhile, the DDC also inspected the Batote market to explore the possibility of converting the main road into mall road and developing the heritage structures there to add to its aesthetics for the attraction of tourists. Tehsildar was directed to notify the unsafe buildings after thorough inspection to avoide any untoward incident and prepare a detail estimate for the construction of Patwar Khana.While interacting with the Presidents of Municipal Committee, Batote and Beopar Mandal and traders, he stressed on removing encroachments on the road footpaths.He informed that land measuring 10 Kanal has been earmarked at Dhak Dharmoond for the construction of a Solid Waste Management Plant to improve sanitation in Batote and surrounding areas.
