DDC reviews implementation of POSHAN Abhiyaan in Doda

District Development Commissioner, Dr. Sagar D Doifode, reviewed implementation of Poshan Abhiyan in the district during an officers meeting here today.During the meeting, detailed discussion was held on modalities for implementation of Poshan Abhiyan in the district for ensuring holistic nourishment of children, pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls.The meeting also discussed the objectives and features of the Abhiyan meant to benefit people at the grass roots level.DDC asked the CDPOs to conduct awareness camps in each Panchayat and depute AWW's and ASHA workers in each household, primary schools and other targeted areas to give educate pregnant women, lactating mothers about the importance of right and timely nutrition besides raising awareness on sanitation and safe drinking water during the Poshan Month.DDC asked the CDPOs to update all the information with pictures and videos about the program on daily basis to their higher authorities besides submitting the same to DDC office.

He also asked the concerned to organise rallies at Tehsil level regarding the program.ADDC, ADC, CPO, CDPOs besides other officials of Social Welfare and ICDS department were present in the meeting.
