Dehradun civic body starts online property tax option for slum dwellers

DEHRADUN: The Dehradun Municipal Corporation (DMC) has inaugurated the online facility for slum dwellers to pay property tax from Thursday.

The slum residents will be able to pay the tax by logging on to the DMC website and filling the form by the name ‘Malin Basti Property Tax Form’.

The users will have the facility to upload all the required documents and after the payment, they will be issued an e-receipt.

DMC Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said, “Due to some technical issues, we were not able to provide this facility earlier, but from now onwards, residents of the slums will be able to pay their house tax online. The slum dwellers still have the option to pay their house tax by coming to the DMC office.”
