DIG holds introductory-cum-elections preparedness meeting
SAMBA: Deputy Inspector General of Police, JSK Range Sujit Kumar held introductory-cum-elections preparedness meeting with all the Gazetted Officers and SHOs of Samba district on Friday.
At the very outset of the meeting, Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba presented the welcome address and gave a detailed power point presentation on the functioning of District Police Samba, Parliamentary election preparedness, crime and security scenario of the district.
DIG JSK Range started with one to one interaction with all the participant officers present in the meeting and took stock of their Parliamentary elections preparedness and security arrangements thereof for smooth conduct of elections.
He exhorted upon the officers to work as a team and sensitized them about the vulnerability and unpredictability of the situation that might rise especially in light of the forthcoming Parliamentary elections and also suggested the measures to deal with it amicably and effectively. All the officers were asked to concentrate on preventive policing more and the nuisance/trouble creators be booked under various preventive sections accordingly.
On the crime front, DIG emphasized upon the participant officers to pay special attention to clear the pendency of old under investigation cases, inquest proceedings and apprehension of absconders. All the SDPOs and SHOs were asked to remain firm in duty but be polite with the general public especially with the complainants.
The meeting was attended by Additional SP Samba, DySP Headquarters Samba, SDPOs Vijaypur and Bari-Brahmana, DySP DAR Samba, Senior POs, PO, SHOs Samba, Ghagwal, Vijaypur, Ramgarh, Bari-Brahmana and Purmandal and Incharge IT DPO Samba.
In the end, SSP Samba Dr Koshal Sharma presented vote of thanks.
