DLSA Kishtwar in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Commitee Kishtwar organises National Lok Adalat, 222 cases settled

District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Commitee, Kishtwar organized a National Lok Adalat today on 13th July, 2019 in the District Court Complex Kishtwar, under the Chairmanship of  Sham Lal Lalhal, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar, for the settlement of the cases referred by diffrent Courts of District Kishtwar.

 Three benches conducted the National Lok Adalat wherein the first Bench was consisted of Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar and Suman Bhandari Advocate Kishtwar, the Second bench was consisted of Sudhir Kumar Khajuria, Chief Judicial Magistrate (Sub-Judge) Kishtwar and Pavita Kiran Badyal, Advocate and the third bench was consisted of Munish K. Manhas Munsiff/JMIC Kishtwar and  Anjali Gulati, Advocate. 

As many as 354 cases were referred to National Lok Adalat, out of which 222 cases were amicably settled, an amount of Rs.10,35000/-

was awared to the parties in MACT cases.

 The members of Bar Association Kishtwar and public at large participated in the National Lok Adalat today.

Principal District & Sessions Judge -cum- Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Kishtwar, Sham Lal Lalhal, Chief Judicial Magistrate (Sub-Judge) Kishtwar Sudhir Kumar Khajuria and Munsiff/JMIC, Kishtwar Munish K. Manhas thanked the general public for making this Lok Adalat a success and further appealed the public to resolve their disputes through the Lok Adalats as it provides quick and economical justice and it also saves the valuable time, money and energy of the litigants. Besides every award of the Lok Adalat is final and no appeal shall lie to any court against the award passed by the Lok Adalat.
