DLSA organizes series of functions across Jammu schools to mark Children's Day
District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jammu in collaboration with Education Department, celebrated Children's Day/ Bal Divas, the annual event celebrated on November, 14 to mark the Birth Anniversary of India's first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, in several Educational Institutions across the District.
Due to the pure heart, children are considered as the foundation and future of the country so they should be given more attention, Secretary DLSA added.Cultural programme was also organized by School Administration in which students participated with zeal and enthusiasm.Those who spoke on the occasion were Gian Chand Dogra, M. D,. Archana Tikoo, Vice Principal, Sapna, Preeti and Dushant faculty members and the students of the school.Pledge was also taken at the culmination of the programme to ensure that every child enjoy equal rights, safety, and quality education.Meanwhile, Secretary DLSA Jammu along with team also visited Bal Ashram, Amphalla, Jammu and celebrated the day by organizing a cultural programme and musical event in which Sam Pandoh, Vivek Sangotra, Rishap Manhas, Rahul Khatri (Artists) and children of Bal Ashram participated.Secretary explained different Government Welfare Schemes available for their uplift and encouraged them to open their wings and fly high to achieve their goals.Later, the team also gave light refreshment to the children and attendants.
