Do you know a beautiful lake in Arunachal Pradesh is named after Madhuri Dixit? Here's why

There is no denying that Madhuri Dixit was and still is one of the prettiest actresses in Bollywood and we totally love and adore her for her acting prowess and flawless beauty. But you would be glad to know that we don’t have just one but two Madhuri Dixits in this world, both equally mesmerising. While one is our very own Bollywood actress, the other is a lake and that too an enchantingly beautiful one.

Now, you must be wondering why this lake in Arunachal Pradesh is named after Madhuri? Well, do you remember the song Tanhai Tanhai from Shah Rukh Khan starrer Koyla? Can’t reminisce it? Fret not, here’s the song we are talking about.

So, this song was shot at this lake only named Sangetsar and the beauty of it is certainly quite jaw-dropping. Sangetsar became so popular due to this song that people started calling it the Madhuri lake and ever since it is known by this name only. The lake is very beautiful and if you have a thing for picturesque travel destinations then this is where you must go to.

For the unversed, the Sangetsar is located at a height of over 15 thousand feet above the sea level and was discovered after an earthquake. According to what the locals have to say, initially the lake was approximately 1 km away from its current spot but during the earthquake, a shift in tectonic plate caused the move of the lake to its current location.

In fact, it submerged a great part of a pine forest too and if you visit the beautiful lake, you will see tree trunks of pine tree pop out of the lake.
