Dog attacks man and child in East Godavari
Kakinada: A man and a child were bitten by a dog in Vattigadda village in Rajavommangi mandal of East Godavari on Wednesday.
Poliparthi Achayya Naidu (38) and Grace Pushpa (5) were attacked by a dog when they stepped out of their respective houses to run a few errands.
The dog overwhelmed Grace Pushpa and bit her face, leaving her grievously injured.
The locals who witnessed the incident killed the dog on the spot. The girl was rushed to the primary health centre in Rajavommangi immediately.
Later the girl was shifted to Kakinada General Hospital, as the injuries on her face had caused profuse bleeding, said the medical staff at the health care centre.
Speaking to TOI, superintendent of the general government hospital, Kakinada, Raghavendra Rao said that the condition of the girl is stable. He also informed that the girl would have to undergo plastic surgery after condition her improves.
