Drinking water supply to be affected in Vizag zone 3

Visakhapatnam: Residents of various wards in zone 3 of Vizag will experience water supply disruption on April 18 and 19 due to repairs on the main water supply pipeline.

The GVMC officials have informed residents that water will be supplied through tankers to these areas as an alternative measure.

GVMC commissioner CM Srikanth Varma, in an official statement issued on Wednesday, said that the 600mm diameter GRP pumping main pipeline supplying drinking water from TSR complex to Block-6/7 Reservoir near Srinagar vegetable market in Zone-3 has been damaged.

“Wards and areas where drinking water supply will be disrupted on Thursday include ward 16 (KRM Colony, Shivalayam), ward 17 (Adarsh Nagar, MVP Colony Sector-8, ward 19 (Peda Jalaripeta, LB Colony, MVP Colony Sector-12), and ward 20 (Chinna Waltair, East Point Colony, and Peda Waltair). The wards and areas where drinking water supply will be disrupted on Friday include ward 22 - New Resapuvanipalem, Pithapuram Colony, Pithapuram UDA Quarters, Peetalavanipalem, Shivajipalem, and ward 23 - Maddilapalem, Automobile junction road, Krishna College road, Maddilapalem RTC depot road, Gayatri School road, and Pedda Nuyyi area, and ward 24 - Chaitanya Nagar area and others ,” said Varma.
