Durgapur Snatches Bengal JEE First Rank

Kolkata: Soham Mistry from the Durgapur has occupied the first rank in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), the result of which has been published on 20 June. Kolkata had to be content with the second rank, while not a single girl has been able to find a place in among the first 10 rank holders.

JEE is conducted for selection of students for admission to undergraduate engineering courses in both public and privately owned institutes. This year the exam was held on 26 May in 320 exam centres spread over Bengal, Assam, and Tripura. In all, 80,989 students wrote the exam and out of them, 80,650 have been assigned ranks.

WBJEE Board has said that the rank cards can be downloaded from its two websites ~ ww.wbjeeb.nic.in and www.wbjeeb.in. The counselling will start from 24 June and the admission process will be concluded by 24 July.
