Education ministry holds entrepreneurship camp for students

PANAJI: The Union education ministry, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the ministry's Innovation Cell launched its second phase of innovation, design, and entrepreneurship bootcamp across the country. The event was hosted this year in Goa by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa, in Cuncolim.


The bootcamp is a govt initiative to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. More than 2,500 students from higher education institutes participated at nine locations across the nation.

From April 29 to May 3, renowned speakers and design experts of national and international repute will deliver training sessions at nine locations across the country, of which Goa is one.

At the bootcamp, students will be trained by Wadhwani Foundation- known for its support of entrepreneurship education- in product design, ergonomics design thinking and pitching skills to thrive in the new-age business landscape.

AICTE chairperson prof T G Sitharam inaugurated the bootcamp in virtual mode from the AICTE headquarters in New Delhi. The event was also telecast live across social media platforms.

The inaugural by the host, NIT Goa took place in the presence of director of the Union education ministry's innovation council Pradeep Dhage, along with Goa director of technical education Vivek Kamat and NIT Goa director professor O Jaiswal.
