Elderly couple killed as 2 cars collide in Kota

Kota: A 60-year-old man and his wife were killed on the spot and at least seven others were injured as two cars collided head-on near Laban village on Kota-Lalsot mega highway under Deikheda police station of Bundi district on Tuesday afternoon. The injured were taken to MBS hospital in Kota, where they are undergoing medical treatment.

The deceased couple was identified as Surajmal Goyal (60) and wife Shanti Devi, residents of Chawani area in Kota city.

Goyal, along with the driver and two daughters-in-law was travelling by car for darshan in a temple at around 5pm on Tuesday when another car collided head-on killing the couple on the spot, said SHO Ashok Meena. TNN
