EA FC 24 TOTS (Team of the Season): leaks, release dates, voting dates and what to expect

With the closing stages of the 2023/24 season fast approaching, this means the EA FC 24 TOTS (Team of the Season) promo is just around the corner.

Since the TOTY promo in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, EA Sports has treated the UT community to some fantastic content, with the period dubbed the 'TOTS waiting room' being filled with some memorable promos. The standout promos have been Ultimate Birthday, Fantasy FC and Future Stars, but next up is one of – if not the biggest promo in the Ultimate Team calendar, the EA FC 24 TOTS event.

In FIFA 23, the TOTS promo saw a whopping 14 TOTS squads released over eight weeks, but with the addition of women leagues in EA FC 24, we can expect way more. The EA FC 24 TOTS promo will reward the best real-life players from around the world with heavily boosted TOTS items, with each major league receiving a TOTS squad every Friday before a smaller league TOTS squad is released on the following Monday.

Since TOTS was introduced, the promo has begun with a Community TOTS before being closed out by an Ultimate TOTS, featuring the best players from each TOTS squad. EA introduced a fan vote for each TOTS XI in FIFA 22, and we expect this to be the same in EA FC 24, with the voting dates yet to be confirmed.

EA FC 24 TOTS: leaks

With the EA FC 24 TOTS promo still a while away, no player leaks have been made just yet, but what we do know is the official EA FC 24 TOTY card design. Reliable leaker @DonkTrading revealed the TOTS card design way back in February 2024, and it has an eye-catching look.

Similarly to TOTY, player leaks most likely won't start to appear until the voting has been confirmed, but there's every chance we may start to see release dates revealed ahead of any official announcement.

EA FC 24 TOTS: predicted release dates

In FIFA 23, the TOTS voting began just under three weeks before the first TOTS squad was released, with the voting for each squad lasting three days before closing. Each vote included 40 total nominees, though the only major league that didn't receive a vote was Ligue 1, so we predict this may be the same again in EA FC 24.

Based on past releases and the upcoming Ultimate Team release schedule, this is when we predict the EA FC 24 TOTS voting dates will be.

Based on past TOTS releases and the predicted voting dates, we expect the Community TOTS to be the first squad released in EA FC 24, potentially entering Ultimate Team on Friday, April 26 at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT.

In FIFA 23, the release schedule remained the same for eight weeks, with a major league being released in Ultimate Team packs on Friday before a smaller league was released on the following Monday. There was also a TOTS warmup series released in FIFA 23, which we expect to also be released in EA FC 24.

With women now in Ultimate Team, we predict that the major women's leagues will all be released on the same dates as their counterparts, meaning we could have two TOTS squads released on one day.

Based on our predicted release schedule, we expect the TOTS promo to conclude on Friday, June 16.

EA FC 24 TOTS: what to expect

The big addition in EA FC 24 has been PlayStyles, and like we saw with the introduction of two PlayStyle Plus' during TOTY, we expect that TOTY items could feature three, making them the most meta items in the game.

We've also seen Icons and Heroes receive a plethora of special items in EA FC 24, so it won't be a surprise to see some of these receive TOTY-themed cards as part of the promo. As always, more TOTY players will be released as SBCs and Objectives, while we are all but guaranteed to see some TOTY Evolutions released, which will award some big upgrades.

Icon SBCs alongside Flashbacks and Moments are expected, while TOTY-themed friendly cups are likely, as we've seen in most UT promos in EA FC 24. The big promos in EA FC 24 have featured daily log-in challenges and energizer packs, but I won't put it past EA to release the first-ever one million coin pack during the TOTS promo.
