Prince William fans all say same thing as he helps out in kitchen and declare 'Kate is lucky gal'

Prince William fans are all saying the same thing as the future King showed off his culinary skills in his latest Royal outing. Proving he's no stranger to the kitchen, William had fans declaring his wife Kate Middleton

was "a lucky gal" as he visitied Surplus to Supper, a charity that redistributes surplus food to smaller community groups within five miles.

Fans praised William as he joined chefs at the Surrey-based food rescue operation's hub at Sunbury Cricket Club, where he lent a hand in rustling up some dishes proving he can do more than just Royal duties. It was his first royal engagement since Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis and the menu on the day included bolognese, sausage casserole, and chili con carne under chef Mario Colfait's guidance.

With his apron on and knife in hand, William quipped: "It smells good in here Mario! " This led fans to believe this isn't the Duke's first time working up a sweat in the kitchen. One follower, @WalesDefender, joked: "You can clearly see this isn't new to him. Men that can cook. I Keep saying it Catherine is a lucky gal."

Royal enthusiasts were charmed to see Prince William getting stuck in at the charity kitchen, with one admirer noting: "Not his first rodeo 'round the kitchen! " The famously left-handed Prince impressed onlookers by adeptly chopping with his right hand, prompting a fan to comment: "He's doing well to chop with his right hand as he's left-handed."

The Prince of Wales also shared a light-hearted concern about his culinary skills, quipping: "I don't want to mess up everyone's lunch. I hope I haven't ruined your lunch, but you can blame me." As he observed the team packaging meals for those less fortunate, Prince William remarked: "It's amazing the amount of food and variety."

Surplus to Supper, the charity visited by the Prince, is known for creating 25,000 meals annually for distribution to the needy. During his visit, volunteer Rachel Candappa presented Prince William with two special cards, to which he warmly responded: "Thank you, that's very kind." Later, the Prince made his way to a youth centre in west London, which receives regular food deliveries from the charity.

The work of Surplus to Supper resonates with Prince William's environmental initiatives, particularly The Earthshot Prize, which aims to encourage solutions for a waste-free world, aligning with the charity's motto 'in bellies not bins', according to the Express.

Kensington Palace has announced that Prince William is participating in these commitments to highlight the impact of the organisation's work on the community and the environment. Quoting a representative, "Protecting the environment for future generations is one of the Prince of Wales's key priorities."

This will be Prince William's first public duty since March 20, having taken a brief hiatus to spend the Easter holidays with Kate and their children.

The Princess of Wales made an appeal for her family's privacy in a national video message released on March 22, sharing that she had begun chemotherapy treatment.
