There is big news for the students studying in government schools. In Madhya Pradesh, CM Shivraj has announced that government school students will be given a 5% reservation in medical studies.
Bhopal: It is often seen that students complain that only the children studying in private schools can crack the NEET exam and the children from government schools are not able to do it or it takes a lot of time. Let us tell you that CM Shivraj has given a big gift to such students. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has made a big announcement on Monday. He said that the state government will give 5 percent reservation in medical studies to the students of government schools from this year. The Chief Minister claimed that ever since admission in medical colleges has started through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), students of government schools are not able to become doctors.

CM Shivraj further said that for the first time in the country, the state government has decided to implement this scheme, under which government school students will be given 5 percent reservation in medical studies. Only government school students will be given admission on these seats. The Chief Minister said that till now only private school students used to pass NEET, but from now on two lists will be prepared, one for government school students and the other for private school students. Shivraj further said that children coming from poor backgrounds should also get a chance to move forward.
Foundation stone of the project laid on this day
Let us tell you that Chief Minister Shivraj was addressing a program organized in Jabalpur on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Raja Shankar Shah and his son Kunwar Raghunath Shah, the tribal symbols of the 1857 rebellion. Apart from this, CM Chouhan has also announced to build a memorial of tribal queen Durgavati at a cost of Rs 100 crore. He said that the foundation stone laying ceremony of the project will be organized on October 5.
