10th pass will be the qualification
Minister Jogaram Patel said that the educational qualification for recruitment to Class IV service and equivalent posts has been increased from 5th and 8th to 10th. Instead of conducting their recruitment through interview, they will be recruited through written examination by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. Similarly, it has been decided to increase the educational qualification for recruitment to the post of vehicle driver from 8th pass to 10th and bring uniformity in the designations of vehicle driver in different service rules and make only one designation of vehicle driver.
Written examination for vehicle drivers also
Recruitment for the post of vehicle driver will also be done through written examination by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. This decision taken regarding vehicle drivers and class IV employees will prove to be an important step towards fulfilling the resolution of the state government to provide 1 lakh government jobs this year. At present, about 60 thousand posts of class IV employees are vacant in various departments of the state government, on which recruitment will be done in future. The government has also issued a notification for the recruitment of 23 thousand 820 sanitation workers through local bodies.
During recruitment to the posts of class IV, applications were received in large numbers and candidates holding graduation, post graduation, LLB degree also applied. Due to selection being done through interview, the departments had to face a lot of difficulties in these recruitments. Due to these reasons, recruitment to these posts was not possible for many years. Now the government has decided to recruit to these posts through written examination instead of interview.
