Google Maps Update: Google Maps is testing Live Activities feature for iPhone users...

Google has finally ended the long wait for iPhone users. These days, the company is testing the Live Activities feature for iOS users on its navigation app Google Maps. This feature shows app notification information on iPhone Ks lock screen and dynamic island. That means users will not have to open the map again and again.

What is Live Activities?

Live Activities will show real-time notification information from Google apps on the lock screen. This feature is already present in apps like Uber and Lyft, which show the pick up and drop status of users. Now iPhone users are going to get this feature on Google Maps soon.

Live Activities feature on Google Maps

The Live Activities feature has been available to Android users for a long time. This feature is coming with some delay on Google Maps for iPhone users.

Google is now testing the Live Activities feature on some selected iPhone models. Many users are giving information about using this feature on social media. They can see navigation notifications on the lock screen. Screenshots being shared on social media show that this feature also supports walk and public transportation.

How to enable the Live Activities feature?

If you want to use this feature, then you will have to enable this feature from the settings in the Google Maps app. In the Settings menu, you have to turn on the toggle of Glanceable directions while navigating. This feature is currently in the testing phase. In such a situation, it may take some time for you to access the Live Activities feature.
