Prakash Raj: Actor-politician Prakash Raj is not afraid to speak his mind and has been outspoken on a number of issues. The actor has now responded to a recent, widely shared tweet claiming that he is joining the BJP today.

Speaking at the Chikkamangalur Press Club in Karnataka, Prakash Raj said as per Indiatoday, "Only those who have done 420 will speak about getting 400 seats. Be it any party, the Congress or any other party, this reflects your arrogance."
In a subtle jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assertions they would retake over 400 seats, the actor stated that "in a democracy" there is "no chance" for one party to win 400 or more seats.
"You can only win a seat if it is being given to you by the people. No political party can claim that they can go ahead and take the seats. It will be called arrogance," Prakash Raj said.
For the unversed, Raj began his career in cinema after working for a while in Kannada television and theatrical productions. He debuted in Tamil cinema with K. Balachander's 1994 film Duet, and he has since been a successful Tamil film star.
