TV Stars Support Krishna Mukherjee Against Producer Harassment

Krishna Mukherjee, who was last seen in the TV show "Shubh Shagun," shared some serious complaints about the show's producer on Instagram. She said that the producer treated her very badly and made her feel unsafe. Krishna explained that she has been feeling very sad and worried for the last few months because of what happened during the show.

She shared that the producer locked her in the makeup room when she was sick and did not shoot. She also mentioned that the producer has not paid her for the past five months and even threatened her. Because of this, she has been too scared to work on any new TV shows.

Krishna wrote that she has asked many people for help, but no one could do anything. She ended her post by saying she needed justice.

After she posted her story, many of her friends and fellow actors showed their support. They encouraged her to stand up to the producer and even suggested getting the police involved.

Krishna, known from other shows like "Naagin" and "Kuch Toh Hai," married Chirag Batliwala last year.

Harassment in the entertainment industry, including television, is an unfortunate reality that has come to light more frequently in recent years, particularly with movements like #MeToo encouraging more people to speak up. In India, several actresses have publicly shared their experiences of harassment at the hands of producers, directors, and other influential figures in the industry. One of the notable cases is Shilpa Shinde, who is known for her role in "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!"

Shilpa Shinde filed a sexual harassment complaint against the show's producer, Sanjay Kohli. She alleged that he had sexually harassed her, leading to her departure from the popular TV show.

These cases highlight the challenges women face in the entertainment industry, where power imbalances are often exploited.
