' were bizarre (and unnecessary) on their own, then this video is going to open your eyes. While not everything sounds appetising, one thing's for sure: this perpetual need to push the envelope when it comes to food is touching a whole new level of bizarre. Here's what went on.

On April 28, Instagram user and food blogger Tulika Srivastava (tulika_world_official) shared a video where she can be seen toasting bread on an electric gadget commonly found in Indian households. That isn't the worst part yet. The electric gadget in question was a racket used to kill mosquitoes. Just the sight of it sent the internet into a tizzy, and it's not hard to imagine why.

In the video, Tulika can be seen sitting on a bed and happily dropping a slice of bread on the racket. As the clip moves forward, Tulika turns the bread this way and that until she toasts it to her liking. Once she's toasted two slices of bread, she picks one up and takes a big bite, perhaps trying to convince those who would eventually view the video how effective her toast jugaad truly is. But did it manage to convince the internet? That's debatable.

How did the internet react?

The video has over 1.2 million views, over 7,000 likes and comments to match. "Ninja technique," praised one user. "Ye to bhut galat hai isse to mosquito marte hai isme khana bad habit," was another user's serious response. "Gas tho bach jayega, kya bijili bach payegii," asked a third. "Roasted Bread With macchar," a fourth joked.
