2024 Jeep Wrangler launched in India at Rs 67.65 lakh: Gets gorilla glass windshield

Jeep India today announced the prices of the updated Jeep Wrangler in the Indian market. The SUV will be available in two variants - Unlimited and Rubicon, priced at Rs 67.65 lakh and 71.65 lakh respectively, (both prices ex-showroom). The new Wrangler costs Rs 5 lakh more than the previous model. The bookings for the new Wrangler are already underway and Jeep says it has already received 100 pre-bookings, deliveries are slated to start from mid-May 2024.


The new Wrangler gets minor cosmetic changes inside-out, additional features, improved dynamics, added safety and much more. The entry-level Unlimited variant features a blacked-out front grille as opposed to body-coloured, newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels and a windshield made of Gorilla glass. This variant is offered with five colour options – Sarge Green has been added to the line-up of Bright White, Black, Granite Crystal and Firecracker Red.


Talking about the top-of-the-line Rubicon variant, it gets an all-black grille, new 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped up in BFGoodrich mud-terrain tyres, Dana 44 HD full-float solid rear axle, Rock-Trac part-time transfer case with 4:1 LOW ratio, Electronic front sway-bar disconnect and Tru-Lok front- and rear-axle lockers. It’s offered with – Sarge Green, Bright White, Black, Granite Crystal and Firecracker Red. The Rubicon additionally gets Rubicon-specific badges and decals all around.


Moving inside, the dashboard layout is the same as before winner very few minor adjustments. It gets a new 12.3-inch infotainment system with Jeep’s new Uconnect 5 OS. The round central air vents are now thin slits and sit below the infotainment screen. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, semi-digital cluster, automatic climate control, off-roading camera with washer, 12-way powered front seats, automatic headlamps and much more.

In terms of safety, the Jeep gets electronic stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control, electronic roll mitigation, a tyre pressure monitor, rear parking sensors and ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control with stop and go, front collision warning with emergency braking assist and more.

The Wrangler is powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine which puts out 270 hp of power and 400 nm of torque. It comes paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and it also gets Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system. The Wrangler Rubicon additionally gets a Rock mode for the Selec-Trac system, locking front and rear differentials, a front sway bar that’s able to be electronically disconnected, and a 240 Amp alternator.
