Hop electric launches Hop Leo e-scooter: Range, features, specifications
Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Hop Electric today announced the launch of the new Hop Leo. The company did not reveal the exact price of the scooter but said that the e-scooter is priced below the 1 lakh mark and customers interested can purchase the e-scooter at their nearest dealership or online.

The electric motor in the e-scooter produces 2200 W of peak power and 90 Nm of max torque. The motor type is a BLDC hub motor and the controller is a sinusoidal FOC Vector control.
Talking about the battery, the Leo gets a 2.1 kWh battery pack with an 850 W charger and Hop claims the scooter can be fully charged from 0-80 % in 2.5 hours.
The scooter also gets Eco, Power and Sport ride modes. The e-scooter also features reverse mode and Hop says that it has a climbing ability of 12 degrees.

The front suspension is an upright telescopic fork, while the rear suspension is a hydraulic spring-loaded shock absorber. The front and rear brakes are disc-disc with a Combi-brake system and the e-scooter also gets regenerative braking. The wheel size is 10 inches for both the front and rear, and the tyre size is 90/90-r10 for both the front and rear. The electric scooter has a ground clearance of 160 mm, and the loading capacity is 160 Kg. The IP rating is IP 67/65, making it waterproof and dustproof.
In terms of features, the Leo gets an LCD digital display. The scooter can also opt for a 3rd party GPS tracker. The scooter is offered in five different colours: Black, White, Grey, Blue, and Red, and registration with a green number plate is required.
