In Bareilly, electricity department cut a dozen connections including Prasad Cinema Hall, Delhi Mughlai restaurant, FIR

On Friday morning, the team of electricity department launched a campaign for recovery of outstanding electricity bill. Raids were conducted in many areas of Civil Lines of the city. In this, electricity connections of many prominent personalities including Prasad Cinema Hall, Raymond Showroom, Delhi Mughlai Restaurant, Sudha Rani, HC Agarwal were disconnected on the outstanding electricity bill of lakhs of rupees. Along with this, FIR has been registered against more than a dozen consumers who have stolen electricity. Even after having electricity bill of more than a month, those who deposited have been let off with a warning.

Chinese and mechanical meters in homes

In the Civil Lines area of the city, the team of the Electricity Department under the direction of the Junior Engineer of the Qutubkhana sub-centre conducted a checking campaign. In this, theft was being done in the houses of more than a dozen people by checking electricity in areas like Mohalla Kasgran, Subhash Vatika, Biharipur, Memran, Malukpur, Rajo ka Imambara, Khatriyan etc. During checking, Chinese and mechanical meters etc. were also found in the homes of the consumers.

Not getting power supply

FIR was lodged against them. Along with this, the team warned those who did not pay the electricity bill even after a month. Instructions were given to disconnect the connection if the bill is not deposited soon. The connection of Raymond Showroom of Civil Lines, Prasad Cinema Hall, Delhi Mughlai Restaurant, Sudha Rani, Sudharani etc. has been disconnected by the team due to the outstanding bill of lakhs. The electricity department is continuously running a campaign against the defaulters. But at the same time people are not getting electricity supply. Due to which people are suffering in summer.
