The Popular Front of India (PFI) has called for a strike on September 23 to protest the raids conducted by various agencies on Thursday at its offices, leaders' homes, and other places led by the NIA. The Kerala High Court on Friday took suo motu cognizance of the strike announced by radical Islamist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) and subsequent sporadic incidents of violence in the state. The court said the strike was banned earlier by it and destruction of public property cannot be accepted. Several incidents of violence have come to the fore during the strike to protest the arrest of the leaders of the Popular Front of India by the NIA.
Wherein in Mattanur, a petrol bomb was hurled at the RSS office in Kannur Mattannoor. Police are present at the spot and are investigating the matter. Earlier, a bottle filled with flammable material was thrown at the BJP office in Coimbatore on Thursday after the NIA raided the offices of the Popular Front of India and arrested its members. Two policemen were attacked by two bike-borne PFI supporters at Pallimukku in the Kollam district of Kerala. Both the policemen were injured in the attack.
