Crunchyroll Announces Anime Music Festival At San Diego Comic Con Featuring SPYAIR, ALI, yama & More

Crunchyroll revealed on June 24, 2025, that it will host a two-day anime music festival, Crunchyroll Anime FanFest, on July 25 and 26 during San Diego Comic Con at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, located behind the San Diego Convention Center.

The event is free to attend and will feature live performances from Japanese artists, including SPYAIR, yama, ALI, Denzel Curry, INIKO, and others.

The July 25 lineup focuses on rock, pop, and anime-inspired electronic sounds, and includes:

  • SPYAIR (Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle)
  • yama (SPY x FAMILY ending theme)
  • ASH DA HERO (BLUE LOCK)
  • Slushii (anime-inspired DJ/producer and multi-instrumentalist)
  • Magnolia Park (alternative rock band)
  • Hyper Potions (known for anime-esque electronic tracks)
  • VGR (EDM producer known for anime and video game remixes)
  • James Landino (Tower of God composer and DJ)

The July 26 lineup explores anime’s influence on hip-hop, R&B, and global sounds. Artists set to perform include:

  • Denzel Curry (rapper)
  • INIKO (genre-defying artist inspired by shonen anime)
  • Pink Pablo (Puerto Rican singer and producer)
  • ALI (JUJUTSU KAISEN ending theme “Lost in Paradise” artist)
  • Yaeji (DJ set; NYC-via-Seoul artist)
  • ☆Taku Takahashi x Alenoise (Black Clover theme producer)
  • NOODLES (Los Angeles-based DJ)

In addition to this, the event will also feature anime-themed activations and merchandise pop-ups.

The event will include giveaways and Activations Crosswalk, showcasing immersive experiences tied to upcoming and returning anime titles such as Gachiakuta, Kaiju No. 8, and The Rising of the Shield Hero.

Doors for the event open at 1:00 p.m. PDT on both days. The company described the FanFest as its “biggest, boldest, and loudest” presence at San Diego Comic-Con to date.
